Dajia Jay Wilson

Who is She?

Dajia is a multi-talented individual with a holistic perspective on life. As an international model, poet, artist, writer, permaculture designer, and Kemetic yoga teacher, she has gained a unique perspective on the human condition. Through her travels, she has discovered that we are all innately and deeply connected to nature, and that the key to mass healing is to help people understand and live according to this connection. Her focus is on reconnecting humanity to themselves and to every other being on this planet through indigenous wisdom and story telling.

Public Service

Dajia's has committed to making a positive impact through her actions. Some of these dedications have included building neighborhood book boxes from upcycled materials, beach and river cleanups, and organizing events to provide food and self-care items to those without homes. Her emphasis on the importance of collective contributions is a testament to her leadership and encouragement, which serve as an inspiration to others.

Kemetic Yoga

Dajia's journey with yoga began during a difficult time in her life in 2020. As she continued to practice, she not only became physically stronger and more flexible, but also gained a deeper sense of self-awareness. This led her to become certified in Kemetic Yoga, a practice based on ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs that focuses on empowering melanated individuals and building community. While this practice is rooted in empowering people of color, it is open to anyone who wishes to practice.

Artistry

Dajia's art and creative work are not only versatile but meaningful. Her subject content often highlights culture, nature, esoteric wisdom, making her work both beautiful and thought-provoking. Through art, she invites others to explore the world around and to connect with deeper aspects of themselves. In addition to being a poet, speaker, and author, Dajia is also a talented graphite and charcoal artist, as well as a designer who works with natural textiles. Her passion for creativity knows no bounds, and her work is a true inspiration to others.

International Model

As an international model, Dajia has been featured in Elle, Harper's Bazaar, Oprah Magazine and many other publications. She has also worked with brands like Ralph Lauren, Dior, Tiffany & Co., Four Seasons for Forbes and many others. In her travels she has dedicated time to traveling and learning about natural textiles and living to bring awareness to the waste of the fashion industry, and highlight the available solutions.

Permaculture Design

Miss Wilson has studied tropical permaculture design, and has been certified twice! Permaculture is a sustainable approach to agriculture that can create functional and diverse ecosystems. By working with nature, permaculture can help create productive and resilient living systems that produce much more energy, food and shelter than they consume while protecting and enhancing biodiversity.
